| Description | Detail of the windows of the Emmons County Memorial Courthouse in Linton, North Dakota shows the colored enamel transom over two panes of glass separated by a mullion which replaced the original 24-paned windows. The spandrels appear to be carved, although the images portrayed can not be discerned. Detail of the local brick facing is also seen. Barely visible, to the right top of the photograph, is the sign designating the structure "EMMONS COUNTY COURTHOUSE" in raised metal lettering. |

| Biography/History | Built in 1934, the Emmons County Memorial Courthouse in Linton, North Dakota has the added distinction of being the first WPA project granted in the state. Seven courthouses in the state were completed as part of this program. The Emmons County Courthouse is also one of eight Art Deco courthouses in North Dakota. |
