Date of Original 1916-01-29 Description A rotary snow plow from the Soo Line Railroad works to clear the tracks at Columbus, N.D. A large plume of snow is being thrown into the air. A Northland Elevator Co. grain elevator is visible to the side of the railroad tracks. Houses and other buildings are visible on the other side of the tracks. One of the engines had a rotary snow remover attached to the front of the engine. The rotary scooped snow from the tracks and blew it away from the rails.
