| Biography/History | Arthur Clark Huidekoper was born in Meadville, Pa. in June 1845. He attended Harvard University, and married Frances Louise Reynold, also of Meadville in 1869. They had 3 children together: Albert Reynolds, Earle Colhoon, and Edith Ellicott. Huidekoper and Tarbill founded the H.T. Ranch near Amidon, N.D. in 1882. Percheron horses were the number one business of the H.T. Ranch, until the change to cattle in the early 20th century. In 1907, the ranch was sold. Huidekoper returned to Pennsylvania, where he founded the Little Missouri Stock Farm. He died in 1928. |
