| Biography/History | Peter Reid became deputy warden of the State Penitentiary in 1913 and served for five years. He was born in 1866 in Canada and moved to North Dakota before statehood. He settled in Cavalier County and married Henrietta Balfour in 1895. His son, Russell Reid, served as Superintendent of the State Historical Society of North Dakota from 1929-1965. |
