Biography/HistoryRed Tomahawk was an Indian policeman serving and living on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in North Dakota. He was credited for fatally shooting Sitting Bull on December 15, 1890, during an attempted arrest. Red Tomahawk's profile is visible on the logo of North Dakota Highway Patrol vehicles.
