| Biography/History | The Germantown Church was organized south of Carrington in 1884 as the first German Baptist Church, Carrington, N.D. When some of the congregation moved to Germantown Township 2 years later, a decision was made to construct a new church in the township as well. The church was built in 1892 at a cost of $1500. The parsonage was built in 1897 at a cost of $1300. Previously, ministers had lived on their own homesteads. The church was closed in 1972, and was later relocated to Carrington, where it is now the Faith Baptist Church. |
