| Biography/History | The Bismarck Fire Department was founded in 1877, the first in Dakota Territory, and called the Pioneer Hook and Ladder Company. Pioneer Fire Co. No. 1 was founded in 1884. In addition to housing Fire Company No. 1, this building was also Bismarck's City Hall. |
