| Biography/History | Edward and Minnie Krecklau filed on land in Blooming Valley Township in 1906. They built a sod house and bought oxen to break up the land. A frame house was constructed on the claim in 1908, and a modern house was built in 1917. Later, the Krecklaus moved to Crosby. Bertha Krecklau was married to Emil Krecklau. Emil moved to Blooming Valley Township in 1903, and Bertha arrived in 1905. Bertha and Emil had two children, John and Lillian. John Krecklau later married Rose Fenster, and they lived on the family homestead. John and Rose had two children: Jorden and Judith. |
