| Biography/History | Ole and Lena Sims were married in Helena, Mont. in 1897. Ole Sims worked in the silver mines in Helena. When the Sims family moved to North Dakota, they had 5 children: Ida, Edward, Oscar, Arthur, and Olga. A daughter, Florence, was born and passed away in N.D. at the age of 9 months. Arthur would die from a scarlet fever outbreak in 1914. The Sims homesteaded in Blooming Prairie Township, near Ambrose, N.D. Ole Sims died in 1947, and Lena Sims died in 1951. |
