| Biography/History | Lorents B. Hofstad was born near Stenkjer, Norway in 1859. He married Grethe Haugdahl in 1886. The family, including children Inga, Signe, Bjarne, Sigurd, and Leif emigrated to Minnesota in 1905. In 1906 they filed in Burg Township, Divide County, N.D. Lorents died in 1933, and Grethe died in 1940. |
