Biography/HistoryGunder Rust moved to Alkabo, N.D. in 1913. He was born in Tyseth, Norway. He worked for Lars Rostad in the blacksmith shop, and worked on a threshing rig during harvest season. He married Nora Johnson in 1918. Nora and Gunder had one son, Gillferd. In 1924, Gunder bought the blacksmith shop and the threshing rig. He later bought the Hatfield Grocery. He died in 1938.
