The Hettinger County Courthouse in Mott, N.D. was constructed between 1934 and 1936 with funds made possible through a PWA grant. This courthouse has an outstanding degree of integrity and is one of only two North Dakota courthouses with Deco styling west of the Missouri River (the other is the Stark County courthouse in Dickinson, N.D.) The courthouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places 1985-11-14 as part of the North Dakota Courthouses Thematic Nomination.
