Built in 1923, the Golden Valley County Courthouse is one of two courthouses in North Dakota with a revival style deriving inspiration from the Federalist period of American building history. It also has the distinction of being the only North Dakota courthouse to have been designed by a Montana architect (W.E. Dietrich). It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places 1985-11-14.
