Description A pole alongside a road in the Devils Lake area shows the water levels of the lake through history, from 1870 to the 1940s. The bottom marker reads 1910, elevation 1421. The next marker up reads 1900, elevation 1424. The next marker up reads 1425 proposed level under Missouri Diversion. The next marker up reads 1880 elevation 1433. The top marker reads 1870 elevation 1437. The elevation of Devils Lake on June 15, 2011 was 1455 feet, or 18 feet over the top of the pole.
