Transcription"Boat launching at Garrison Dam: The above picture was taken immediately after the U.S. Sycamore slid off the low-boy type truck-trailer which had been backed to the water's edge late Wednesday afternoon. The Corps of Engineers' working tug, the first boat to be launched in the raising reservoir, will be used to clear floating debris out of the lake. During the launching the fantail of the craft shipped water which can be seen draining off the 45 foot long boat. A PK-MK contractor's man rode the craft into the water. The combine was hired for the launching job"--Typed on label affixed to back of photograph.
