Transcription"A lake was created this week at Garrison Dam by the construction of a coffer dam upstream from a rock dike that was built last week. The lake will be pumped dry and construction started on the center section of the main embankment. The picture was taken from the coffer dam, looking downstream to the rock dike and construction bridge. That bridge will be removed and will be used in the spillway section later this year. A bulldozer is shown in the left foreground leveling off dirt dumped by high euclid trucks hauling dirt for the coffer dam from the spillway area.
