lake
was
created
this
week
at
Garrison
Dam
by the
construction
of a
coffer
dam
upstream
from a
rock
dike
that was
built
last
week.
The
lake
will be
pumped
dry
and
construction
started
on the
center
section
of the
main
embankment.
The
picture
was
taken
from the
coffer
dam
,
looking
downstream
to the
rock
dike
and
construction
bridge.
That
bridge
will be
removed
and will be
used
in the
spillway
section
later
this
year.
A
bulldozer
is
shown
in the
left
foreground
leveling
off
dirt
dumped
by
high
euclid
trucks
hauling
dirt
for the
coffer
dam
from the
spillway
area.
